We bought our property back in 1996 with plans to diversify our farming operation due to rising costs of growing soybeans, corn and cotton. We planted watermelons and pumpkins for wholesale purchase. We did this for many years as I worked outside the farm. In 2004, I quit my job as an RN, and together, we decided to open up our farm for visitors. We planted our first corn maze and invited neighboring schools to tour our maze and pick a pumpkin. We have grown each year and are now welcoming visitors for our twentieth anniversary.
